Driveway and Concrete Sealing in Leawood, Overland Park, and Shawnee, KS
When concrete is initially poured, there is a good amount of water inside, which, over time, will eventually dry but creates a porous surface. Sealing is imperative at this point, mainly if there is potential for freezing and thawing, because anytime a liquid freezes, it will expand by up to 9%, which puts an enormous amount of pressure on the interior of any new or old concrete but more so for recently poured. Over time, unsealed concrete will absorb more and more liquids as the freeze/thaw cycle will increase and expand the pores and capillaries where it is trapped. While this may seem minor and unnoticeable at first, cracks and spalling will eventually become visible to the eye on the surface, and at that point, it’s usually too late to seal or repair. Rock Solid concrete, and driveway seal protects from the inside out. It penetrates deep inside concrete to seal off any porous paths that may house or distribute liquids, increasing the overall density and strength of any concrete surface by up to 30%.
On the surface, water and liquids will bead up and dissipate so that damage due to standing water (ponding) won’t occur and, more importantly, keep any moisture from being absorbed. But what most sealants don’t do is guarantee that they will prevent damage for 25 years, which is what Rock Solid’s seal does, giving our customers peace of mind while protecting their bank accounts from costly concrete repairs.
